I know it sounds fake but you really do have a lot of silent lovers on this planet who look at you and wish they had your smile or your hair color or your humor or your intellect or your intentions or your heart, your manners, your eyes, your ease, even just you. People who are too shy to tell you what they admire about you or what they wish for you or who they see themselves becoming bc of you & they’re too shy to tell you. even tho it isn’t verbalized, the universe has still heard and the universe has loved you for helping out on its creations. You’re that person. You’re you.
Today at the grocery store I was greeted with this magazine. I examined it for a while, turned to my mother and said “how can they do this?” she responded with “I don’t know, but they shouldn’t be allowed to show disgusting bodies like that” at first I was irritated with my mom for even thinking like that, but it’s not her fault. These articles have taught her since she was a child that her body can look nothing less than perfect, and if It does look bad, then it’ll end up in a magazine like this. I spent alot of time looking through magazines and wishing, praying for a body that would someday be a goal for other women. But as I’ve grown, I’ve found beauty in all shapes and sizes..to see something like this still existing, is disgusting. It’s not right to exploit the weight of a celebrity even if they are a public icon. It’s not right to shame anyones body, fat or not. It’s not right that I have to avert my little cousins eyes while at the grocery store just so she won’t feel bad about her body. It’s not okay that so many young girls are starving themselves in hopes to never take the shape of someone slightly over weight. Nobody should have to feel ashamed of themselves because of a shitty magazine that knows nothing of what it’s like to be a woman.
Being good to each other is so important, guys.

I use those as gender neutral and don’t mean it in a gender way at all but if you don’t like it tell me and I will try to stop (no promises because I usually forget things so I might need reminded a few times)this also applies to “guurrrrrl”
